Spider-Man officially in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Finally! After months of speculations and rumors! It is finally official! The web-headed superhero is finally in the MCU!

According to superherohype.com:

“Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios officially announced today that Sony is bringing Marvel into the amazing world of Spider-Man! Under a new deal, a new Spider-Man will first appear in a currently-unspecified Marvel film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of its $4 billion Spider-Manfranchise, on July 28, 2017, in a film that will be co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the franchise launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new creative direction for the web slinger. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films.”

“Marvel and Sony Pictures are also exploring opportunities to integrate characters from the MCU into future Spider-Man films.”

“I am thrilled to team with my friends at Sony Pictures along with Amy Pascal to produce the next Spider-Man movie,” said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. “Amy has been deeply involved in the realization on film of one of the world’s most beloved characters. Marvel’s involvement will hopefully deliver the creative continuity and authenticity that fans demand from the MCU. I am equally excited for the opportunity to have Spider-Man appear in the MCU, something which both we at Marvel, and fans alike, have been looking forward to for years.”

“As a result of the new deal, Thor: Ragnarokwill now arrive nearly four months later than planned, moving to November 3, 2017 (from July 28). Black Panther, which previously held that spot, gets delayed eight months, going from that original November 3 date to July 6, 2018. That, in turn, bumps Captain Marvel to November 2, 2018 and moves Inhumans all the way to July 12, 2019. The two-part Avengers: Infinity War, meanwhile, remains set for release May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.”

This. Is. Epic.

For all Marvel geeks (like myself) and non-geeks, this is wonderful news!

By the way, I just copied most of the things written here from superherohype.com, besides the opening remarks on this post (which I wrote).

The teaser trailer for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot is here and it is AWESOME!

Fantastic Four.

One of the most famous superhero groups in history. Back again on the big screen after the box office flop (and also quite entertaining) that is, “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”.

The first F.F.4 movie was already quite wonderful if I may say. The second movie, well, it was just entertaining. I only liked it because of the Silver Surfer. They didn’t even show Galactus. How the hell can you make a Fantastic Four movie with the Silver Surfer in it, but not show Galactus? That’s just messed up. But honestly, I kinda thought it was good that the sequel flopped. If it didn’t, honestly, would we have Chris Evans as Captain America today? Who knows how many sequels they could have made if Rise of the Silver Surfer didn’t flop?

Going back to the main topic. I hope Josh Trank made a very good reboot of the movie. I saw the trailet twice already and I only have high hopes for it. But if it flops, well, you win some, you lose some.

For those of you have not seen the trailer yet, check it out below:

Also, here’s the first official poster for the movie.

Game Of Thrones season 5 premiere date

Missing Westeros already? I know I am. Don’t worry! You’ll get to see all of your favorite characters (the ones that are still alive), places, and of course, the dragons once more! Game Of Thrones is coming back to HBO for its fifth season on the twelfth of April! You’ve waited for God knows how long already, surely you could wait for a few more months.

April 12. Save the date.

Play-Doh extruder tool controversy

An extruder tool that looks like a penis. Who in the right mind would approve of that design?! So stupid! If you were selling “adult” toys to “adult” people, then that would be so much better. But your target, is to sell to KIDS! There are kids out there who have very mature minds at such a young age.

For those who have not yet seen the extruder/genitalia tool, here are some pictures:

It comes with this set:

And this is the controversial tool:

And here’s someone complaining on Play-Doh’s Facebook page:

Fortunately, Play-Doh did apologize for the incident:

I appreciate that Play-Doh apologized for their mistake, but seriously, how do you mess up such a thing as a penis looking toy? The head designer must have been pretty stupid to approve of such a design. Same goes with each and every person in the company for not complaining about the design.
