Too lazy to care

“When it’s like this, we chill”

I was lazy to dress up.

You guys feel me. I know. Don’t try to deny it. Everyone has those days where they just pick the first thing they see and put it on.

That’s what I did. I wanted a relaxed fit. Something simple and rugged (but that didn’t stop me from doing some OOTDs).

I’m also wearing a pair of old jeans with ripped hems (courtesy of me and my younger sister).

Lazy? Always a go for dressing up? 50/50? What type of person are you?

Laid back

“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy—but mysterious. But above all, black says this: I don’t bother you—don’t bother me.” –  Yohji Yamamoto

How can you honestly go wrong with an all black fit? I love black. I could go for days wearing anything black. That’s what I went for in this outfit.

It’s a laid back vibe but still has that sort of edge to it. Wore a brown fisherman’s hat to match my brown sneakers, the red lining of the track pants popped from the dark colors of my ensemble, and tucked my pants inside the socks for that extra rugged look.

Watchu guys think? Like it or pass on it? As usual, comment down below and if you like this post, go share it as well!

Make it POP

“Fanny on me” – Perea Street (2018)

I was finally able to cop a pair of these trousers! I’ve been wanting to get these but most of the time they didn’t have my size or they just simply didn’t have the pants.

I decided to pair it with a plain white shirt and my Adidas Superstar for that classic vibe; and since it was a bit plain, I decided to add my new yellow fanny pack (from OXGN) to make it, like what the title says, POP.

Even without the bag, the fit still looks classy and has this old school feel to it, but the fanny pack adds this extra character to it to make it a little bit less dull.

What do you guys think? Lemme know down there!

Brighter days

*cue in Yellow by Coldplay*

I haven’t posted any fashion OOTDs for quite some time but I recently did a few shoots with my parents (YES. They shoot my shots for me. Real MVPs).

I’ve always felt uncomfortable going out with bright or too much colors, I felt like I’d stand out for the wrong things. Until one day I decided to just throw all my worries out the window and wore what I wanted to wear.

So for today, I wanted to stand out. I wore bright colors that just popped. It’s simple but not dull.

A piece of advice that you probably heard a lot of times already from other people,

Get out there. Wear what you want. Don’t give a damn about what others think. Just do you. BE YOU.

Like my outfit? Hate it? 50-50? Sound it out in the comments section down below! See you guys on the next post!

    BLESSED.

This year, the Shoe God has been great to me. I want to share with you guys every single pair that I copped this year.

  • 1.) First up, the Maz Brasil in the Red and White colorway.
  • 2.) NEW BALANCE 373 in the Red/White colorway
  • 3.) Nike Flyknit Trainer 2017 ‘Sunset Tint’ colorway

  • 4.) Vans Old Skool “NUDE”

5.) BATA X STAR WARS limited edition collab (stormtrooper tennis shoes variant)

6.) Nike DUNKS low X MLB Oakland A’s ‘Baseball Pack’

7.) Nike Air Presto in the Black/White colorway

8.) Adidas ZX Flux X Italia Independent ‘Core Navy’

9.) Chuck Taylor All-Stars in the Blue/White colorway

10.) Nike Air More Uptempo in the White/Gumsole colorway

11.) Adidas Pureboost 2017 in the White colorway

12.) Air Max 98 SE Team Red colorway

13.) Jordan Legacy 312 ‘Rookie of the Year’ colorway

If you’re wondering, yes, I have used all these. I have worn each and every one of them for a substantial amount of time. I know I have a lot of pairs, and I tend to use the new ones a lot more coz why not, but I still love using my older and more broken in pairs.

Out of all of these, I’d have to say the Air Max would have to be my most favourite cop, so far. I’ve always wanted a pair of those and now I got one.

I might lie low from the sneaker scene this coming year, I don’t know yet. I also said that last year and look at where that got me. I never thought I’d have this much shoes in my life. Too much sauce this year (which depends on whether you like my taste in shoes or not. I really don’t care tbh).

Lastly, one more thing I really got to learn this year is that, never ever go with the hype unless you truly want it. Never let anyone try to even persuade you not to get that one sneaker you want just because it isn’t their style. Cop it. Buy it. Trade for it. As my good friend once said, DO YOU.

And with that, what were your 2018 sneaker cops? Lemme know down below! Top 5 sneaker rotation for last year in the next post! See ya!

    Boxy

    Nothing special.

    I meant about this post.

I just wanted to show you guys what I recently got at Bench this past weekend and how you could turn this simple piece into something less boring. They had this buy 1 take 1 promo, and I got a plain black boxy tee and a plain gray pocket tee for PHP 599 or USD 11.40.

    It’s a simple outfit.

While the color of the shoes makes the outfit look less boring and dull, it also gives a bit more character to it, the shirt also gives a more rugged and laid back feel along with the track pants. The fanny pack is there to accessorise the overall fit.

    • You guys can also switch up the color of your shoe if haven’t got any red sneakers. Any color will do with an all black outfit.

If you were to ask me about all black outfits, i’d just say it’s the way to go. It’s subtle yet it gives out a strong vibe as well. Not everyone would agree with me but personally, I could wear black every single day.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions on what I should write about next? I have a few in mind but I’d appreciate any ideas you have up your sleeves. Comment them down below and I’ll see you on the next post!

    Circa 98

I can join Airmax day already, that’s for sure.

I can honestly say that this pair is definitely up there at the top of my most wanted Air Max list. My most wanted would have to be the Air Max 97, followed by this, the Air Max 98. The list would be something like this,

    1. Air Max 97
    2. Air Max 98
    3. Air Max 1
    4. Air Max 270
    5. Air Max 95
  • On to the main attraction!
  • PHP 5,900 or USD 112.30

I got this pair at the Sneakpeek Shangri-La branch because one, they had a sale going on, and two, the all red colorway just got me. I saw it and it just spoke to me. They also had the 97’s as well but not in any colorway that I liked. This was also the last pair they had. Like literally. In my size. Can you believe that?

    • Double stitched mesh upper
    • 3M white lining going around the entire shoe separating the mesh from the mid suede part
    • Synthetic leather mud guard
    • Stitched Air writing at the heel
    • Orange suede oval on the medial side of the pair
    • Full length Air-Sole cushioning set up

I honestly think and feel like it would’ve been better to have added an extra set of white laces. Either way, red is red. I’m a hugesucker for red shoes or anything that’s red.

It is definitely more comfortable than the Jordan Legacy 312, Nike Air Presto, Nike Air More Uptempo, and surprisingly, the Nike Flyknit Trainer 2017 (which I think is the most comfortable after breaking it in). Not much break in is required. It’s fairly soft and plush in a way once you put it on.

I know it’s not a widely popular pair, and I don’t care. I love it. People not wanting it means I can stand out more knowing I have something that’s out of the ordinary.

  • Overall, it’s a dope shoe. I’ts sturdy. It’s light on the feet. Decent ventilation. It’s comfy. I’d still suggest copping this even at SRP (around PHP 8,0009,000 or USD 152.28171.33).
  • All black outfit to make the sneakers pop

Here’s a sample OOTD (which will be on my next post).

Comment what you think below and I’ll see you on my next post!

    Legacy

This ain’t from the Don C pack if you were wondering.

As homage to his hometown, Chicago City, Don C named it the Legacy 312, after the city’s area code (312).

    Details:

    • The upper is from the “Air Jordan 1” model
    • Midsole-outsole is from the “Air Jordan 3” model
The strap is from the “Air Alpha Force Low” model
This model isn’t from the “Don C” pack but from the newer colorways

I knew I wouldn’t be able to cop the Jordan 1 “Rookie of the Year” due to it being eyed by almost all sneakerheads, so I copped the next best thing; The Jordan Legacy 312 “Rookie of the Year”.

Got this at Titan Shangri-La for 7,300 PHP (around 140 USD). No, it wasn’t on sale but it wasn’t that expensive compared to how they price shoes today.
The brown parts of the shoe are made of suede, while the white parts are made of leather.

The body of the shoe, the nylon tongue, and the iconic Air Jordan wings logo are from the Jordan 1 model.

Lace holes, heel tab, and midsole/outsole are from the Jordan 3.

  • Strap is from the Air Alpha Force Low.
  • I will update this post once I’ve worn it enough to break it in just to see if it’s comfortable.

It’s a solid shoe. The design is great. The feel is awesome (based on trying it out). Price isn’t that bad. While others are hating on the strap, I actually love it, it makes it more unique.

When there are pros, cons come hand in hand with it. This isn’t for everybody. It’s a really bulky shoe. It’s on the heavy side. I’m pretty sure it’s going to take a long time to break this in.

Overall, while it may not be for everyone, it is still a damn good pair at a fairly decent price point. For those wanting this pair, cop it while you can. For those who aren’t fans of these kicks, you aren’t missing out on a lot.
I have one more new pair that I copped the same time I got these shoes, but that’s for a different post.

    HONG KONG PHOTO DIARY

This was from our HK trip last June. No paragraphs or too much writing, just photos from our short vacation.

This was actually me and my sister’s first out of the country trip.

    • The food was great. Who doesn’t love Chinese food?
    • Trying to communicate with the locals was a bit challenging but manageable.
    • Disneyland was amazing (I literally cried the entire time out of pure joy).
    • Shack Shack was the bomb.
    • I was also able to try Ikea‘s Swedish Meatballs. Overrated. It wasn’t overwhelming. Just whelming.
    • Using the train was hella fun and easy. Commuting in HK was really something else.

    Check out the pics below!

My first trip out of the country was memorable. The experience was great. Was it tiring? YES. Was it worth it? HELL YES. Would I do it again? Is that even a question, DEFINITELY.

I also made a previous post on the OOTD’s that I used during this trip, click here if you wanna check that out.

See you guys on the next post!

Every sneakerhead will tell you that you need this in your collection

    Well, most sneakerheads.

    Simple. Timeless. Iconic. Classic.

Words that best describe the, AIR JORDAN 1.

I have to agree when they say that you need this in your collection. Others might say the opposite and pass on the pair.

I used to literally stick to Converse and nothing else. I wasn’t that much into shoes back then, that was until my uncle bought me a pair of AJ1’s. That literally kickstarted my love for shoes. My J’s aren’t retro’s or OG’s, just a simple “AJ1 high strap” model.

You can literally wear it with almost anything. Shorts. Jeans. Dress it up or down. You can’t go wrong with it.

If you’re really serious into getting into the sneaker game, get a pair of Jordan’s.

Lemme ask you. What’s that one pair every sneakerhead should have in their collection? Let me know in the comments section below.
